My Story:
Welcome! My name is Becky O'Reilly and I have been an ISR instructor for 19 years. Teaching survival skills to infants and toddlers is very rewarding and I absolutely love it! Let me tell you a bit about me and why I choose to teach ISR self-rescue lessons. When my children were younger I was president of a local MOMS club and organized monthly speakers to come visit for educational and entertainment for the mothers. Then one month an ISR swim instructor came to speak and I immediately signed up my two daughters. After seeing their skills I became an Instructor that same year.
Before I became an Instructor my youngest daughter was holding my hand on the top step of the pool when I was distracted by another child speaking to me.... I didn't notice her hand slip away. The pool was full of mothers and children then all of the sudden my daughter was survival floating in the middle of the pool. It only takes a second and it can happen to the best parents. A simple distraction almost cost my daughters life. I am so thankful my daughter had ISR skills.
Today my girls are 22 and 20 and are both attending FGCU in Ft Myers, and I am very proud of them. As an instructor I have grown over the years and my experience helps your child learn faster and more effectively. As a mother, one of my daughters has ADHD and the other is a Type 1 Diabetic. They have taught me how to be more compassionate and patient. To overcome challenges with courage and basically to celebrate each and every day.
It is 2022 and I am very excited to update my website and get back into the water. I currently am traveling to private homes. I look forward to teaching your child the skills they need if they should ever find themselves alone in the water. Please explore my site and contact me to schedule ISR Self-Rescue lessons today!
